Parent Presentation:
My child has learn and explored the understandings and teachings of the hard work in school to its best of its ability. MeneMac so far has taught him so much as I see him grow through learning and other experiences, which indeed he still has a lot to learn in the future. All though Branson had some struggles with school work he pushed passed everything and set temple of where he wanted to be. The school work and the this program is more advance than what we had when I was going to school. We didn't have high tech. computers and all the nice cameras like how we have today. That shows how lucky the students in MeneMac are. According to Branson overall this past year was a hard working year for him.

Journal 4
My impact activity was to show people how I got better and learned new things in final cut pro. I wanted to do this because I didn't know how to work final cut and I wanted to see what Iv'e learned from the past years. I had to be self taught to learn how to work it. Im going to show people the new things I learned on finally cut that I didn't know how to do before.

Since I didn't master everything I wanted others to show me what I could improve on and things I could do better. I use my learnings for next project and I could use everything I learned to the best of my ability.

Journal 3:
My passion is football because that was the sport I loved ever since i started play it when I was little. The sport of football bring outs character and personal strengths that you thought you would never thought you would have. It pushes you past you limits and makes you a better person if you choose to be. This is a sport I really enjoyed  and you need to be bless and have courage to play. Some people wish they could play but aren't fit or ready for it. It taught me that if I fail get back up and try it again till you succed. Just like when I didn't know how to edit a video and I needed to be self taught to pass. I need to learn how to do it myself because your teacher is not going to be with you all the time to help you. So had to practice by filming and editing it myself, doing things I didn't know how to do.

Things that motivate me to do these type of things are older peers and how they became good at things.I would watch others and see what they would do to be a better person. If they would get good grades, I would learn from them and ask them what did they do to get good grades to pass. My family also motivates me to be a better person by the love the show everyday and how they care about your life.

The skills I mastered are effert passion. Those two words made me want to follow my dreams and try my best to be the best. I would dedicate everyday to someone special so it could move my day and make me stronger. While i was editing I wanted to show people that I could do the things I couldn't do if I would just learn and take my time with it.

I always that our teachers didn't really help us when we didn't understand, but they do they try their best to make sure we catch on and learn the subject they are teaching. I realized that school was important and we need school to get through life. Education could take you far, so I need to step it up and make sure I did my best. I had to take thing serious so I would pass.

Icarus Journal #2

As the time when by and projects came in. I always wanted to have someone teach me how to really edit a video by myself on final cut pro. I looked at other students work and I think to myself, I can't compete with that. I didn't have the skill level to make it as good as others. I watched videos and I would look for good camera angles and shots to help me get better in media projects.

In the past I tested final cut pro by accident when I was filming my cousin and I and I wanted to try edit this video and see what I came out with. It took me at least four days but at the end it came out to be a decent video for me. I needed to be self motivated to do this and be willing to put in hard work. It inspired me to do more videos and learn more about final cut pro. I asked the older students to help me improve and teach me some easy step to use final cut pro. I looked up videos on youtube for tutorial to better myself. What I wanting to do is prove other people that I can make my own videos by myself and make my videos smooth, have good angles, good edits and no errors.

Project Icarus

Journal 1:

Well my passion that I thought I felt that I accomplished something was when I filmed and edited a video all by myself. Which I usually need help. I wanted to challenge myself and push through the things I most needed help on. I also wanted to show people that I could do it so I self taught myself.

The resources I going to use for this project is , Final cut pro, the video I made, and the people that watched it.

The question that I was wondering about and wanted to be answered was, what other skills is there in final cut pro thats benificial for my learning. Fix my mistakes and learn from them so I can do better.

The action I wanted to take was show someone that is really good at final cut pro so they can tell me what I am missing and fix my mistakes. 

Protest Math deparment

Next monday come to Mene Square were we will protest the lack of materials and curriculum in the Math department.  Bring tents, toiletries, and sleeping materials for we will be planning to stay as long as it takes for them to change the math department.  Research from the NCLB shows that our math scores are not meeting with only 51% proficiency.  We will be letting our voices ring through the school and let the math department and Mr. Galera know that we want CHANGE!  Please come down and let your voices be heard.  Do not remain silent in this time of need.
